  • Rev. karen tannheimer

    Senior Pastor

    Pastor Karen has been an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church since 2005.  She has served in three other United Methodist Churches in Southern California.   She enjoys sharing her faith in Jesus Christ via worship,  preaching, teaching and simply sharing faith one on one over a cup of coffee.  She received her Master of Divinity from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena and her undergraduate degree from Cal Poly Pomona.  Karen was called to ministry after a long career in Banking and finance, she is also a Board Certified Clinical Chaplain.   You may email her at pastorkaren@lahabraumc.org or call the church office at 562-691-1797.

    Preschool Director

    The LHUMC Preschool has acquired a reputation for loving and caring guidance.  Sandy Cram has worked in child care for more than 35 years.  Under her leadership enrollment increased and we have been able to upgrade many classroom and playground facilities.

  • Scarlett Brais

    Director of Music

    Scarlett Brais is a seasoned performer and gifted music educator, with over 20 years of experience working as a professional musician in Los Angeles.  She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from Cal State University, Long Beach, and currently leads the music program for the blind and visually impaired youth students at The Braille Institute.  Scarlett also runs and operates her own private voice and piano lesson studio, and can also be seen performing throughout southern California with her 8 piece soul-jazz band, Scarlett and The Fever.
